Kim Kardashian Describes Terror During 2016 Paris Robbery in Court

Kim Kardashian tearfully described her horrifying experience during an armed robbery in her Paris hotel room in 2016, saying she feared for her life. The 44-year-old reality star and businesswoman was speaking in court about the traumatic event, where she was held at gunpoint by a group of robbers. “I was certain he [one of the robbers] was going to rape me,” Kardashian told the judge, adding, “I absolutely did think I was going to die.” She shared how she said a prayer for her family and feared her sister would walk in and find her in a dire situation.

Kardashian faced a group of 10 men accused of robbing her at the Hotel de Pourtales in Paris in October 2016. She explained that one of the robbers dragged her across the bed, exposing her body under her robe as he tied her up. She described being “grabbed and tied up… dragged from one room to another” and called it a “violent act.” Kardashian explained how the experience left her feeling violated, especially when she was touched while naked.

In a surprising turn during the trial, three of the defendants offered messages to Kardashian, with two speaking in person and one sending a handwritten note. Kardashian, visibly emotional, forgave one of the robbers and expressed gratitude for his apology. The defendants, including 68-year-old Aomar Ait Khedache, had admitted to the robbery but denied being the ringleader. Ait Khedache had previously communicated only via notes due to health issues.

Kardashian shared that when the robbers first entered her room, she was flustered after waking up naked, and two men dressed as police officers were accompanied by a handcuffed concierge. She recalled how one of the robbers initially reassured her, calling her “okay” but soon became aggressive, grabbing her naked body. Kardashian explained that she begged for her life, saying she had children to return to.

The trial also heard from Kardashian’s stylist, Simone Harouche, who recalled hearing Kardashian’s screams and fearing for her safety. Harouche described locking herself in the bathroom and texting Kardashian’s security for help. Minutes later, Kardashian entered her room, visibly distressed, and Harouche helped her remove the tape from her feet.

The trial is expected to conclude at the end of this week.
