Hashim Dagane Muhumed Says He Was Hired To Kill The Three Eastleigh Women

Hashim Dagane Muhumed, the prime suspect in the gruesome Eastleigh murders, has confessed to being hired to kill three women. The victims—Warris Daud, her child, and her niece—were murdered alongside other unidentified accomplices, according to his confession.

Investigations reveal that Hashim participated in the killings of the three women in Eastleigh, a neighborhood in Nairobi, and further admitted to another shocking crime. He confessed to killing his girlfriend, Deka Abdinoor, a student at Great Lakes University. Hashim disclosed that he dismembered her body and disposed of the parts at Lang’ata Cemetery. He claimed that he murdered Deka because she knew about his involvement in the Eastleigh killings.

On Friday, detectives accompanied Hashim to Lang’ata Cemetery, where some of Deka’s remains were previously found. However, parts of her body, including sections of her hands and legs, are still missing. Authorities suspect that these missing body parts may have been scavenged by hyenas from the nearby Nairobi National Park.

The motive behind the murders appears to stem from a love triangle. Police believe Warris Daud was targeted due to her relationship with another woman. Meanwhile, Amina Abdi and Nusayba Abdi were likely killed as collateral damage in the same plot.

Further investigations suggest that the killings were part of a larger criminal gang operation. Each gang member is reported to have received over Ksh. 1 million for their involvement in the murders. DNA samples have been taken, and Deka’s family awaits confirmation on the remains found.

Detectives continue to search for other suspects linked to these heinous crimes. Hashim remains in police custody as the investigation progresses. He is set to appear in court on December 2, facing multiple murder charges for one of Kenya’s most horrifying cases in recent years.
