The Ghana Police Service has rescued Sylvia Patience Baah, the Airport Services Manager of Emirates Airlines in Accra, who was abducted on the night of Thursday, November 21, 2024. She was taken from the entrance of her residence in Accra, but police efforts have ensured her safe return to her family.
In a statement, the Police confirmed that Sylvia has been reunited with her family. The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, personally spoke with the victim and her family, who are reportedly in good spirits following the incident. To assist the family during this challenging time, the Police have arranged for medical officers and clinical psychologists to provide support.
The Police commended the public for their cooperation during the rescue operation. A spokesperson acknowledged the contributions of individuals who shared critical information, saying:
"We would like to thank all those who gave us pieces of information during our rescue operations and the public in general for their support and cooperation."
