Kampala, Uganda – At the 2024 Qorus Reinvention Awards – MEA held in Dubai, dfcu Bank earned top honors in the Distribution category, taking home the prestigious Gold award for its innovative Investment Club App. This accolade places dfcu Bank among the leading financial innovators across the Middle East and Africa region. Out of nearly 700 entries from around the world, dfcu’s platform was recognized for its impactful approach to digital finance and its support for community-based financial initiatives.
The dfcu Investment Club App is a first-of-its-kind platform designed to support the bank’s fast-expanding network of over 135,000 investment and savings clubs in Uganda. With more than 10,000 downloads, the app enables users to manage contributions, monitor loans, process collections, and track returns in real time. This functionality empowers members to handle their finances effectively while promoting financial inclusion and literacy across communities. The app reflects dfcu Bank's broader mission of enhancing sound financial practices and strengthening communities through accessible, technology-driven financial tools.
