Popular Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, known as Rude Boy, has shared the joyful news of welcoming his first child with wife Ivy Ifeoma. The couple introduced their baby girl, Imani Ugomma Okoye, to the world in a heartfelt Instagram post on November 1, 2024, after keeping the birth private for over a month.
Paul, who married Ivy Ifeoma in a traditional ceremony in May 2024, expressed his immense joy and gratitude in a touching video shared with his followers. The clip featured intimate moments of family bonding, including scenes of Paul’s children from his previous marriage meeting their new sibling. The older siblings were captured lovingly holding Imani, showering her with kisses, and marveling at their newest family member. Other parts of the video showed Ivy tenderly bathing Imani and taking a walk with Paul’s children, highlighting the family’s unity.
In his emotional caption, Paul Okoye wrote, "This past month and few days have been the most joyous and overwhelmingly sweetest ever period of our lives." His words encapsulated the happiness the couple has experienced since Imani’s birth.
The journey to Imani’s arrival was filled with memorable moments. Toward the end of Ivy's pregnancy, she spent time in the United States, where she ultimately gave birth. To celebrate the special occasion, Paul gifted Ivy a brand new Range Rover as a push present in July 2024. Ivy shared photos of the gift on social media, captioning them, "New baby from my baby," while Paul humorously posted, "My baby use this baby to push the other baby very well."
This new chapter in Paul Okoye’s life follows significant past events. He was previously married to Anita Okoye for eight years before their highly publicized divorce in 2021. Anita had filed for divorce citing various issues, making headlines and sparking widespread discussions. The split marked a turning point for Paul, who later introduced Ivy Ifeoma as his girlfriend in 2022 during their first anniversary, addressing criticism and clarifying the timeline of his relationships.
In response to the backlash they received, Paul firmly stated, "You know me, I always keep things to myself. I’ve kept it to myself that I’ve been single for four years, and I’ve been divorced for a long time. I don divorce sef before I found Ifeoma, so make una just calm down."
Now, with the arrival of Imani, the couple celebrates a new beginning filled with love and togetherness.
