Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as ‘Rudeboy,’ has ridiculed the editing quality of a Nollywood movie after spotting a glaring mistake.
Okoye shared a clip from the movie on his Instagram story, highlighting an editing error where the sound manager was visible in the scene holding a microphone. The ‘Reason With Me’ singer expressed his shock and amusement at the oversight, questioning how such a mistake could have gone unnoticed.
“So you people made a movie and edited even the microphone man to appear in it?” he wrote, poking fun at the filmmakers.
The film featured Nollywood actors Ugezu J. Ugezu and Ken Erics, but its title was not revealed. Social media users also reacted to the mistake, with many joining Okoye in criticizing the apparent lack of attention to detail in the movie’s production.
This is not the first time Okoye has made headlines. As one-half of the defunct music duo Psquare, he and his twin brother, Peter, have been involved in a long-standing public feud. The brothers originally parted ways over a dispute regarding their elder brother Jude’s role in their music career. Although they reconciled in November 2021, their reunion was short-lived.
In August 2024, Paul Okoye revealed that he had fallen out with Peter again, accusing him of arranging his arrest by Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Peter denied the claim and instead accused their elder brother Jude of secretly transferring millions of dollars from their joint account into a private company.
The conflict escalated when Jude was arraigned on February 26 on charges of laundering N1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. Peter explained that he involved the EFCC after Paul told him to “do your worst” during their last conversation about the matter.
Despite the ongoing family drama, Paul Okoye continues to be vocal on social media, and his latest critique of Nollywood has once again sparked online discussions.
