Victor Osimhen Stars as Galatasaray Thrash Eyupspor 5-1 in League Win

Victor Osimhen played a key role in Galatasaray’s dominant 5-1 victory over Eyupspor on Sunday evening.

The match took place at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium, where Galatasaray, led by manager Okan Buruk, continued their strong run toward defending their league title. Osimhen made a big impact, scoring one goal and providing an assist to help his team secure the important win.

The victory allowed Galatasaray to maintain their five-point lead at the top of the table ahead of Istanbul rivals Fenerbahçe. With 80 points collected from 31 matches, the reigning champions remain on course to win their third consecutive Turkish Super Lig title.

Speaking after the game, Osimhen expressed his joy at both the result and his own performance. “I’m very happy because we won. Winning this match was very important. We needed more points. I’m very happy to have contributed one goal and one assist," he said in comments shared by SPOR.

Osimhen also took time to celebrate his teammate Morata's contribution to the victory. He stressed the importance of focusing on one match at a time as Galatasaray aim to secure another league title. “These points are very important on the path to the championship. As Galatasaray, we are focused on ourselves and approach each match separately. We will look forward to the next match,” he added.

In addition to their strong league campaign, Galatasaray are also preparing for the final of the Turkish Cup. They are set to face Trabzonspor as they chase a potential double this season.

With Osimhen finding form at a crucial stage of the season, Galatasaray’s ambitions of lifting both the league title and the Turkish Cup look stronger than ever. The team’s focus now turns to their upcoming fixtures as they seek to close out a successful campaign.
