Drew McIntyre Clears Travel Issues, Set for WWE SummerSlam

Drew McIntyre has confirmed he will make it to SummerSlam despite being stuck in the UK due to passport issues.

WWE star Drew McIntyre gave fans a much-needed update on his travel troubles ahead of his tag team match at SummerSlam 2025. McIntyre, who had been unable to leave the UK because of passport problems, revealed through a social media video that he is now back on track and will be present for the event.

McIntyre is scheduled to team up with Logan Paul to face country music artist Jelly Roll and veteran WWE superstar Randy Orton in what’s expected to be one of the most talked-about matches of the weekend. Concerns had grown over McIntyre’s ability to travel in time for the event, but he confirmed that he will be in action and even took a jab at fellow WWE star The Miz, who reportedly offered to take his place.

“Past few days, my phone’s been exploding—texts, calls, DMs—all asking if I’m okay or trying to leak something,” McIntyre said in the video. “I saw Miz offering to take my place—how selfish of you. The answer is absolutely… hell no.”

The update also featured Logan Paul, who mocked The Miz and backed his tag partner. “You think I’m teaming with the Miz? I got a Scottish warrior, you stupid,” Paul said, shutting down any speculation of a change in the lineup.

McIntyre, known for his in-ring toughness and sharp wit, blamed Jelly Roll for allegedly trying to prevent him from traveling. However, he gave credit to Logan Paul for stepping in with a solution. “Jelly Roll, I know you were behind this, trying to keep me in the UK. But this guy’s got better friends than you. He sent his jet. And on Saturday, you and Randy are screwed,” he added.

The tag match will take place during Night 1 of SummerSlam and marks Jelly Roll’s first appearance in a professional wrestling match. With McIntyre now confirmed, fans can expect an intense and entertaining showdown between these four unique personalities in the WWE ring.
