In a candid interview, Nollywood actress Akinola Yusroh, widely known as Damiola Royal, shared that her career path could have taken a very different turn. Akinola revealed that if she wasn’t an actress, she would have pursued a career as a fashion entrepreneur, driven by her long-standing passion for the fashion industry.
Reflecting on her journey, Akinola explained that while she had a deep love for fashion, her greater passion for the entertainment industry ultimately led her to Nollywood. “Aside from my love for fashion, I also love showcasing my talent in acting. I think the love I have for acting overwhelmed my passion for fashion business, and that is why I’m in Nollywood today,” she said.
The Osun State native also discussed her recent work in the cinema, highlighting her role in the upcoming film Labake Olododo, produced by Iyabo Ojo. “Sincerely, it’s all shades of amazement, and I can’t wait to unveil to the whole world what we have cooked because it is hitting the cinema soon,” Akinola shared enthusiastically.
Akinola offered advice to newcomers in the film industry, encouraging them to remain focused and patient. “There is always light at the end of the tunnel. It will only get better if they follow due procedure without being too much in a hurry,” she concluded, emphasizing the importance of perseverance in achieving success.
