BBNaija’s Phyna Drops Family Name, Reveals Emotional Struggles

Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, has announced her decision to drop her family surname, Otabor, citing a lack of connection with her family. The reality TV star shared her emotional struggles and unresolved questions about her origins in a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.

“I am publicly dropping my family surname OTABOR… it has been proven that I actually have no family, and nobody knows how I came about,” Phyna wrote. She revealed that she is still searching for answers and described her current emotional state as difficult to define.

“Growing up and the way I was tossed around relatives, I should have suspected, but I guess I was too young… omo my head wan tear!!!!!!” she added, expressing the turmoil she feels about her past.

Phyna’s post has sparked widespread reactions, with many fans expressing concern and support. Her revelation comes after a public family dispute last year. During the feud, her father accused her of distancing herself from the family and ignoring their calls. The issue stirred significant debate on social media, drawing attention to the strained ties between Phyna and her relatives.

This latest announcement sheds light on her ongoing struggles with her identity and family history. Phyna’s openness has resonated with her followers, who have encouraged her to stay strong as she navigates these challenges.

The reality star’s emotional journey continues to unfold publicly, with fans hoping she finds the clarity and peace she seeks.
