Kendrick Lamar surprised fans with the release of a new album on Friday, just months before his highly anticipated performance at Super Bowl LIX.

The 17-time Grammy-winning rapper’s latest album features 12 tracks and arrives ahead of his headlining gig at the February 2025 Super Bowl halftime show. One of the standout songs, "GNX," quickly garnered over 500,000 views on YouTube in just two hours after its release. The song and album title appear to reference the Buick Grand National GNX, a car featured prominently in the promotional art.

Lamar's Super Bowl performance will take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans and marks a significant moment in his career. This will be his first time headlining the halftime show, though he previously performed in 2022 during an ensemble act with stars like Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, and 50 Cent.
